Pit Run

Pit Run is an unmanufactured combination of round rocks and sand. The rock size in pit run is between ten inches and one inch. There is no angular rock in pit run.

Pit run can is mostly used for road base and driveways. It does compact but it needs to be topped at least 1 foot deep or the larger rocks will shift in the frost. When used correctly it will compact and almost create a bridge to ensure it doesn’t shift. As a fill its the most economical aggregate product.
