Bedding Sand

At Patterson Gravel Pit, we carry two types of bedding sand; both fine and coarse. Below are photos of both.

Sand has many uses for the home owner. Sand is commonly used in agriculture, landscape and building materials, including concrete as well.

In Agriculture, sand can be used to create french drains, bed down animals, bury water and/or power lines or as a topping in riding arenas. In landscaping, sand can be used below pavers on a walk way to stabilize them, or as as a base to children’s play areas,

In construction, sand is in very commonly used often providing bulk, strength and stability to other materials such as asphalt, concrete, mortar, render, cement, and screed.

Sand is created by adding a screen and screening out the larger rocks. Which is how we can provide a clean sand for a variety of uses.
